Even if you're crazy busy, there's usually time to listen to something whilst you're doing another task. I often listen to podcasts while I'm cooking dinner and as I have such a hard time getting to sleep at night, I usually have something playing in my ears.
Here are a few excellent Podcasts for you to listen to. Even better if you can do so in peace and quiet, on your own!
For women in pursuit of motherhood and a career - TED Talk by Irene Mora
Gorgeous talk from a daughter's perspective, about her Mother's career and how it's helped her strive in her own career and see no gender equality when it comes to who looks after the kids.
Can we 'have it all'? - TED Talk by Anne-Marie Slaughter
We often question can women have it all, but can men too? Discussing gender equality, flex appeal and the importance of a bread winning/care giving balance.
Serial - Season One
If you haven't heard about this podcast, then you're in for a new addiction! Investigating the murder of Hae Min Lee in Baltimore with prime suspect ex-boyfriend Adnan Syed. This podcast will leave you questioning Syed and other's along the way as to who was the real culprit in this true life crime. It was so good, I've listened to it twice!
Exciting times too, as Sarah Koenig is back with a brand new season of Serial starting on the 20th September! This one is set to follow the cases of a Cleveland court room, week by week. Listen to the trailer here
Jamie Oliver - Unfiltered with James O'Brien
Love him or loathe him, Jamie Oliver is one hell of hard working Dad, with the very best of intentions. I'm personally a big Jamie fan and this podcast endeared him to me even more.
Ali McDowall of The Positive Planner - Power of Mum with Laura Oldfield
I listened to this episode when I was feeling pretty miserable and out of my depth in my Mum/Work life. Listening to Ali talk gave me hope and reassurance that I wasn't the only one feeling this way. I also went online right away and bought her amazing Positive Planner. The Power of Mum is a must-listen podcast for any Mum, but especially if you're running a business too.
