Hannah, the founder of Tinkture has shared with us a delicious sounding winter cocktail. So who’s up for a drink?!
‘Rose Negroni’ developed by Andy Appleton
The Negroni Rosa - Rose Negroni is one of the Regulars and one of our most popular, I think it’s also my favourite. It doesn’t lose any of its usual bitter freshness, the delicate rose is a nice alternative to the flavour provided by the usual orange garnish.
25ml Rose Gin by Tinkture
25ml Berto Bitter
25ml Cocchi Americano Cocchi Rosa
Pour the above ingredients into a mixing glass and stir with ice, strain and serve over more ice or we pour over our Giant rose petal ice cubes. The rose petals are set in the middle of the giant ice cube so you don’t have to negotiate them swimming around in your drink or ending up in your teeth! We serve in a short decorative tumbler glass.
The Berto Bitter is a traditionally made authentic and more botanical version of Campari and the Cocchi Rosa is a quinine aromatised wine (produced with a base of red wines of Piedmont to which herbs and spice extracts are added, in particular gentian, cinchona, citrus zests and rose petals!!) both the bitter and the Cocchi Rosa have a lovely bright red/pink colour to them so make for an aptly coloured drink.
You can also find the Tinkture Bramble recipe over here. It’s one of my favourites!
