My child is not one to sit still for more than 30 seconds. He has the attention span of a gnat.
I was fully prepared to make this play dough only for it to be thrown on the floor after mere moments of use. I was thoroughly surprised though to sit with Fox and play with it for a whopping hour and a half! This gooey green stuff seems to have magical powers. Along with the help of a rolling pin and some cookie cutters, he was entertained, involved and got really creative.
So far it's kept nicely in the fridge for over 2 weeks and is still going strong. Word of advice though, don't use coarse sea salt like I did, it's a bit grainy. Table salt will probably be much better!
What you need:
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 tablespoons of oil (any will do)
As much food colouring as you like!
1. In a large saucepan combine all ingredients over a medium heat.
2. Keep stirring constantly until the dough leaves the sides of the pan.
3. Remove from pan and when cool to touch, knead for a few minutes.
